While the terrible twos are going at it in our national presidential campaign, I thought I would write to acknowledge the high marks given to Lewiston by wallethub.com, giving Lewiston government high marks.
For the past two weeks, five employees from the Public Works Department have spent grueling hours in the heat of summer repairing sidewalks, driveway entrances, and the street in the Ware Street/Abbott Street neighborhood. Their attitudes, thoughtfulness and labor intensity must be noted, because it goes along with the high marks given to Lewiston by the national poll of 150 cities throughout the country. If you have not thanked members of our city’s employees for their dedication to excellent work, now is the time.
They surely deserve the acknowledgement.
