LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce will host the next in its technology series, What Do You Know About IT? on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

The topic is Introduction to Access and will be presented from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the chamber conference room, 415 Lisbon St.

William Wade of Dirigo Software Solutions, will lead the workshop.

Databases are useful tools that allow people to collect and store data about things such as customers, inventory and orders. They also allow users to organize data in a way to remove redundancies and perform operations that are not possible using a spreadsheet.

This course will give attendees an introduction to databases and how a user might utilize them. While there are many types of databases, Microsoft Access will be used for this demonstration. No experience is needed, other than a desire to learn something new

Cost for this workshop is $25 for members, $50 for nonmembers. For more information or to register, call 207-783-2249 or go to: https://lametrochamber.com/ and click on Events.
