MONMOUTH — Haley Fletcher broke a school record for career goals with her hat trick Thursday as Monmouth outgunned Lisbon 5-0 in MVC girls’ soccer action.

Fletcher’s third goal was the 72nd of her career, breaking the old school record of 71 set by Kylie Kemp between 2010 and 2013. Audrey Fletcher and Jordyn Gowell also tallied for the unbeaten Mustangs (6-0) to complete the scoring.

Katie Harris and Destiny Clough combined to record five saves for Monmouth, while Ali Sult deflected 13 shots for the Greyhounds (3-1-1).

Oak Hill 4, Carrabec 0

NORTH ANSON — Rylea-Mae Swan netted a pair of goals Thursday to lead Oak Hill to a 4-0 romp over Carrabec in an MVC girls’ soccer matchup.

Halee Lair and Eliza Whisenant also tallied for the Raiders (4-1-1), who are off to a great start in 2016. Kierra Rolston also contributed with an assist.

Anna Dodge made six saves to notch the shutout, while Kelsey Creamer turned aside 13 shots between the posts for Carrabec (1-4-1).

Mt. Blue 1, Lewiston 0

FARMINGTON — Jocelyn Daggett converted a pass from Sierra Keim at the 28:40 mark of the second half to give Mt. Blue a 1-0 girls’ soccer victory over Lewiston Thursday afternoon.

Addie Schwanz made 10 saves for the Falcons (2-2-1) to preserve the shutout, while Taylor Chamberlain turned aside five shots for the Blue Devils (2-2-1).

Brunswick 6, Oxford Hills 1

PARIS — Kira Walpow led all players with three goals to steer the visiting Brunswick Dragons to a 6-1 win over Oxford Hills in KVAC girls’ soccer action Thursday.

Lea Scrapchansky, Maeve Arthur and Emily Larochelle also scored for Brunswick (4-1-0) to support an eight-save effort by keeper Beth Labbe.

Cecelia Dieterich netted the lone goal for the Vikings (0-5) in the second half. Krystin Payne and Emily Blackshaw split goaltending duties for the home team, turning back 15 total shots in the setback.

Gray-New Gloucester 4, Poland 0

GRAY — Emma Woods led a group of four players to record goals Thursday as Gray-New Gloucester hustled to a 4-0 girls’ soccer win over Poland.

Jordan Grant, Alexa Thayer and Madysen West also tallied for the Patriots (3-1) to complete the scoring.

Chelsea Davis needed only four saves to notch the shutout, while Madison Simard deflected 14 shots between the posts for Poland (1-4).

Mountain Valley 2, Hall-Dale 1

RUMFORD — Julia Perry netted a goal in the second half Thursday to give Mountain Valley a 2-1 victory over Hall-Dale in more local girls’ soccer action.

Emily Laubauskas tallied for the Falcons (2-3) in the first frame with an assist from Taylor Henry. Addie Davis scored for Hall-Dale (1-4-1) in the second half.

Lauren Sterling made eight saves for Mountain Valley, while Maggie Gross turned aside 19 shots for Hall-Dale.

MCI 5, Leavitt 1

PITTSFIELD — Sydney Morton registered a hat trick to propel MCI to a 5-1 victory over Leavitt in more local girls’ soccer action Thursday.

Alanna McCarron and Malie Halferty also tallied for MCI (2-2-1) in the second half. Nikki Daigle scored the Hornets (2-2-1) lone goal.

Audrey McConnell made 10 saves for MCI, while Shelby Varney deflected five shots for Leavitt.

Lincoln 6, Spruce Mountain 1

JAY — Aaron Gonzalez netted a pair of goals to propel Lincoln to a 6-0 romp over Spruce Mountain in a MVC boys’ soccer tilt on Thursday. 

Will Shaffer, Nolan Micheal, Jack Li and John Henry also tallied for the Eagles to complete the scoring. Brady Walp scored for the Phoenix. 

Sam Laemmle made four saves for Lincoln, while Andrew Shaw turned aside 19 shots between the posts for Spruce Mountain. 

Gray-New Gloucester 6, Poland 1

POLAND — Jack Kackmeister led a group of four players to record goals Thursday as Gray-New Gloucester hustled to a 6-1 boys’ soccer win over Poland. 

John Martin, Josiah Carter and Nate Brindley also tallied for the Patriots. 

Andrew Frechette scored the lone goal for Poland. 

Wiscasset 3, Telstar 2 (OT) 

BETHEL — Ethan James netted his second goal of the game in overtime to give Wiscasset a 3-2 victory over Telstar in more boys’ soccer action Thursday.

Brandon Goud gave the Wolverines a 1-0 advantage before Hakan Chartier tied the contest for Telstar. Avry Griffin also tallied for the Rebels. 

Conlon Ranta made 10 saves for Wiscasset, while Boston Ludden turned aside 11 shots between the posts for Telstar. 

Field hockey

Leavitt 2, Winslow 0

WINSLOW — After a scoreless first half, Leavitt lit the board with a pair of goals to pull off a key 2-0 victory over perennial powerhouse Winslow in KVAC field hockey action Thursday.

Tamra Benson and Kayla Leclerc tallied for the Hornets (5-1), with Kaitlyn Leclerc contributing an assist. 

Hailey DeMascio made five saves to preserve the shutout, while Hope Winkin turned aside six shots between the posts for Winslow (3-3). 

Spruce Mtn. 3, Oceanside 0

JAY — Alex Bessey led an offensive onslaught in the opening half with a pair of goals and Alexis Beardsly added another in the opening 30 minutes as Spruce Mountain cruised to a 3-0 win over Oceanside in a KVAC field hockey action Thursday.

Morgan Dalton registered an assist on Beardsley’s goal, and Sydney Shaffer stopped all five shots she faced to post the shutout for the Phoenix (4-2-0).

Ocenaside battled back a bit in the second half, but couldn’t finish any chances.

Messalonskee 3, Edward Little 0

OAKLAND — Ally Turner netted a pair of goals Thursday to propel Messalonskee to a 3-0 victory over Edward Little in a KVAC field hocket tilt. 

Chloe Tilley also tallied for the Eagles (5-2) to complete the scoring. Lydia Dexter and Haley Lowell also contributed with assists. 

Hannah Pinney made five saves for Messalonskee, while Delaney Morneau turned aside 14 shots for the Red Eddies (4-2-1). 

Hampden 2, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON — Moxie Flanagan broke a 1-1 deadlock in the second half to give Hampden a 1-1 field hockey win over Lewiston. 

Daija Misler tallied for Hampden in the first frame, while Maya Letourneau scored for the Blue Devils (1-6).

Ruby Ramsay made eight saves for Hampden, while Ashley Cronkhite deflected 12 shots for Lewiston.  

Cony 3, Oxford Hills 0

PARIS — Delancey Keithley led a trio of players ro register goals Thursday as Cony hustled to a 3-0 field hockey win over Oxford Hills. 

Mackenzie Lewis and Kami Lambert also tallied for the Rams to complete the scoring. 

Jacqueline Carlton made four saves to preserve the shutout, while Anna Huff turned aside eight shots between the posts for Oxford Hills.
