AUBURN — Parents and caregivers of children with disabilities are invited to participate in a free roundtable discussion entitled “Kicking Off the School Year Right” taking place from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Pine Tree Society, 368 Minot Ave.

September brings significant changes in the daily routines of families with preschool through high school-aged children. This transition from summer back to school is often met with challenges, especially for families of students with varying abilities. Now that the first few weeks of school are over, participants will discuss how to make the rest of the school year successful.

Heidi Bowden will lead an interactive discussion on transitioning back to school. She will cover anxiety and stress factors at school and home and following a student’s Individual Education Plan.

This session is appropriate for families caring for children with disabilities of preschool through high school age.

Space is limited, and registration is required.
