I’m retired and live by the motto “Do unto others …” I seek a similar morality in those with whom I associate.

I am associating myself with the Emily Cain campaign because I feel that her moral compass is closely aligned with mine. She seems prone to caring for average folks and those who need assistance. She has always been a champion for health care, education, the environment and senior citizen issues. Her record for supporting Social Security, veterans’ benefits and Medicare speaks for itself, while her opponent has voted to cut all three.

Since most people aren’t millionaires and Maine has one of the oldest populations, Maine needs someone who will represent senior citizens, veterans and the average Joes… not big business and Wall Street.

I will be voting for Emily Cain on Nov. 8. I hope others will do the same.
