PARIS — On Saturday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m., the Celebration Barn Theatre will present Mike Miclon’s “Early Evening Show,” featuring special guests Dawn Hartill and April Reed-Cox along with “Early Evening Show” regular Tom Murphy and more.
 
“The Early Evening Show,” a spoof of late-night talk shows, has been performed from Maine to Switzerland and built its reputation with a 14-year run at the Oddfellow Theater in Buckfield.

Comedian Dawn Hartill, who shares her observations on life, marriage and the experiences of trying to excel at motherhoodhas performed throughout Maine, most notably with Maine Event Comedy, at Portland’s Laugh Shack, at Lewiston’s Thread Theater, and as part of the Portland Comedy Showcase. She is the 2016 winner of The Strand Cup Comedy Competition and was a quarter finalist in The Couch Summer Comedy Classic in Portland.

April Reed-Cox has been playing classical cello for a quarter-century and she holds a masters degree in music performance. Since moving to Maine a few years back she has played folk, rock, Irish/Celtic, fiddle music and everything else in between. She is also an avid hand-spinner and knitter. Reed-Cox has competed throughout the country, and travels the east coast performing in various symphonies along the way. She teaches private lessons at Bay Chamber Community Music School and Woodsound Studio, both in Rockport. In addition to the “Early Evening Show ” orchestra, Reed-Cox performs with The Alehouse String Band.
 
The “Early Evening Show’s” wild improvisations, surprise guests and audience interactions have made it the longest-running live variety show in Maine. The Bangor Daily News called it, “a seamless, hilarious production,” and CBS Sunday Morning called it, “must-see reality.”
 
Tickets to Mike Miclon’s “Early Evening Show on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. are available for $14 for adults, $12 for seniors (60-plus), and $8 for kids (17 and under). All tickets are general admission; members receive priority seating. Lobby and concessions open at 7 p.m. Purchasing tickets in advance is strongly recommended.
