BETHEL — The Bethel Animal Hospital will host an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at 179 Walker’s Mills Road.

This event will be an opportunity for the community to have a chance to see the inner workings of an animal hospital. Veterinarians and staff will be on hand to provide educational opportunities that there typically isn’t time for during regular visits.

There will be raffles, and one visitor will win an Apple iPad Mini.

Blue, a famous rescue dog, will be the guest of honor and have his own kissing both at the event. Blue is the puppy found last October in Newry with severe damage to his mouth after having it taped shut for an extended period of time. Animal Control Officer Sue Milligan brought Blue to this animal hospital and he received extensive treatment and surgery for his wounds. Now, he has a loving home.

Attendees are asked to leave their pets at home.
