, 96, a longtime resident of Livermore Falls, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, Oct. 4, at Sandy River Center in Farmington, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Sept. 19, 1920, in Northbridge, Mass., the daughter of Joseph Chabot and Valeda (Gilbert) Chabot. She attended school in Livermore Falls. On Feb. 7, 1938, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married Ivan J. Richard. He passed away Sept. 19, 1994.

Diana owned and operated three local restaurants. She also owned and managed a rental property on Main Street in Livermore Falls. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 3335 in Jay and the American Legion Auxiliary George Bunton Post 10 in Livermore Falls. She enjoyed playing cards and spending summers at Roxbury Pond.

She is survived by her son, Fred Richard of Auburn; her daughter, Dolores Miller and her husband, Robert, of Livermore Falls; five grandchildren, Laureen Olsen, Robert Miller Jr., Fred Richard Jr., Noreen Lyons and Nancy Ailes; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
