BRUNSWICK — Joanne Felice Boucher of J. Felice Boucher Photography in Brunswick was named a Diamond Medalist during Professional Photographers of America’s 2016 International Photographic Competition.

A panel of 46 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from nearly 5,700 total submitted entries judged against a standard of excellence for the best of the best. The level of the award is determined by how many of the four images from each artist receive the highest possible honor: acceptance into the PPA Loan Collection, which is displayed at photographic exhibitions, conventions and other photography events. Boucher was named a Diamond Medalist, meaning that all four of her merited images entered the PPA Loan Collection.

Recipients will be given their awards at the annual convention and expo at the International Photographic Exhibit in conjunction with Imaging USA being held this year in San Antonio, Texas.

Boucher is the daughter of Carmen Poulin Boucher and Felix Boucher, both lifelong Lewiston residents.
