SOUTH PORTLAND — Danica Hemond, daughter of Darcy Perkins-Phinney of Auburn and Robert Hemond of Minot, has been selected to participate in the Miss Maine Teen USA pageant. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26 and 27, at the Marriott Sable Oaks.
Contestants are judged on swimsuit, evening gown and a personal interview.
The Maine winner will get an all-expense-paid trip to Las Vegas to compete in the national competition. The national winner will be crowned Miss Teen USA.
Hemond is a junior at Edward Little High School in Auburn. She enjoys dancing, theater, movies, music, traveling and spending time with friends.
