1930 – 2016

CANTON — Joyce Pauline Wing, 86, a resident of Canton passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 18, at her daughter’s home in Canton, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 16, 1930, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Roland Dube and Pauline (Riley) Dube. She was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On Oct. 31, 1953, in Livermore Falls, she married her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Lewis Wing. He passed away April 16, 2004.

Joyce worked at Forster’s Manufacturing for 20 years, and at Victorian Villa in Canton as nighttime nursing supervisor for 13 years. She was a member of the Canton United Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Jay and Dixfield. She enjoyed traveling, collecting dolls, trips to Marden’s and going to the casino.

For many years on her birthday, all of her daughters would bring her to Old Orchard Beach where they would stay for a couple of days. More than anything though, she loved spending time with her family, having family gatherings, and following her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her eight daughters, Gail Eastman and her husband, Thaine, of Sumner, Darlene Freudenburg of Sidney, Brenda Bragg and her husband, David, of Sumner, Jody Hadley of Sumner, Sally LaFleur and husband, David, of Hartford, Susan Wallace and her husband, Tim, of Sumner, Kimberly Robbins and her husband, Jerry of Canton, and Wendy Wing of Livermore; four sons, Daniel Wing and his wife, Evelyn, of Albemarle, N.C., Kevin Stanley and his wife, Cindy, of Weld, Colin Wing and companion, Rita Matimas, of Goodrich, Texas, and Jamie Wing of Oakland, Calif.; 29 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Ken Dube and his companion, Rachel Blaisdell, of Jay; and her sister, Gloria Jacques of East Livermore; her sister-in-law and best friend, Jeannie Camire of Leeds; and her cat, “Kitty.”

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her brother, Roland Dube; special brother-in-law, Bernard Jacques; and her dog, “Meeko.”
