FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week.

Olive is the Cat of the Week. She is an energetic, female cat who loves to play. She is good with other animals.

, also known as “Oli,” is the Dog of the Week. Oli is an affection dog who enjoys car rides, walks in the woods and taking a snooze. His eyesight and hearing are impaired, but that doesn’t slow him down. He gets along with other dogs and adult people, but he would be happiest in a home without children. He is good on the leash and loves to snuggle. Potential adopters shouldn’t be fooled by the his hound appearance — Oli is quiet and well-behaved.

Olive, Oli and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays, at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
