1937 – 2016

LEWISTON — Loring E. Wing passed away with his family by his side Monday, Oct. 24.

He was born in Leeds and was the son of Edmund and Verdie Wing.

He lived most of his life in the Lewiston-Auburn area and worked at Camden Yard and Bates mill for many years. He was an avid hunter and loved fishing and picking fiddleheads.

He married his soul mate Beverly (Swan) Wing in Aug. 15, 1957.

He is survived by his only brother, David Wing, of Lakewood Washington; his children, Ronald Swan and wife, Tina, of Auburn, Gary Wing of Auburn, Diane Carter and husband, Maynard Carter, of Poland, and Debra Edwards of Poland; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A special niece, Clarissa Collins of Auburn, who was by his side throughout his long journey home.

He was predeceased by his mother and father; his wife, Beverly Wing; three sons Thomas Wing, Raymond Wing and Michael Wing; two sisters, Rachel Marquis and Flora Soper.
