LEWISTON — Main Street was closed near the Marketplace Mall for about two hours Friday evening after a pickup truck hit a utility pole in the area.
Lewiston police said the pickup truck hit the pole Friday evening at 675 Main St. around 8 p.m., damaging the pole and severing wires. The Marketplace Mall contains a Sam’s Italian Restaurant and several other businesses.
Traffic was diverted from the area until about 10 p.m. as Central Maine Power workers fixed the pole.
Police said it appeared no one was injured in the crash.
