What is the most pressing problem in your district and what do you plan to do about it?

Loss of jobs, thus people moving away. Also schools, churches and stores are closing. Sadly, small towns are dying. Towns need guidance in attracting business. I would like to see something like a job fair with knowledgeable people available to citizens who would welcome advice.

Gov. Paul LePage wants to eliminate the state income tax. Do you support that? If not, why not?

No. That would deprive towns to receive even less help from the state. This situation is serious. Let’s not make it even worse than it is!

Are you willing to support raising the fuel tax to fix Maine roads? If not, why not?

If the price of gas remained reasonable, I could accept a small increase. However, I think there should be “stricter rules of the road.” Many roads have been re-surfaced this summer and unfortunately have already been damaged due to overloaded trucks and reckless drivers.

The dangers that are a result of opiate addiction should be a wake-up call. The public should be better informed and temptation should not be easily available. I would support severe punishment for “dealers”
