1942 – 2016
WATERVILLE — Donna Lee Riggs, 74, passed peacefully at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28.
She was born Donna Lee Riggs on Oct. 3, 1942, to Stanley and Pauline Brooker of Auburn. Donna attended Edward Little High School and then the University of Maine at Farmington, where she earned a degree in education.
Donna guided and educated the youth of Waterville during her 34-year tenure at Waterville Junior High School. Quick with a joke and quick with a smile, she was beloved by staff and students alike. Donna was a voracious reader and also enjoyed golf, canoeing on Allagash Lake and caring for her many cats and dogs.
Donna is survived by her son, Josh; and grandchildren, Alexis and Avis. She was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Henry Brooker, Dorothy Scammon and Beverly Leavett.
