Shenna Bellows, running for state Senate in District 14, really gets it regarding property taxes.
Local taxes have not gone up due to choices on local spending. The state has been continually stepping away from its long-standing funding of basic responsibilities.
I support Bellows because she supports property tax relief for senior citizens, families and small businesses.
I will vote for her because she will fight to ensure that the state pays its fair share back to cities and towns for local schools and infrastructure.
And I am hopeful that residents will be represented by Shenna Bellows as she begins the hard work as a state senator to deliver a more responsible and fair state budget that reduces property taxes.
