MANCHESTER, Conn. — Aurella “Auntie” Y. Ouellette, 90, of Manchester, Conn., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Westside Care. She previously resided at Orford Village Commons with her sister, Laurianne. Aurella thoroughly enjoyed her time there and was very fond of Charlie and Eileen.

Aurella retired from the Travelers Insurance Co. in 1988. She enjoyed opera, dancing at the Arthur Murray Studios, knitting, collecting stamps and coins and she was an avid reader. Mostly, she loved spoiling her nieces and nephews, Diane Bouchard, husband, Paul of Manchester, Conn., Cathy McCann, husband, George, James Jutras of Scotland, Conn., Glenn Jutras, wife, Suzanne of Coventry, Conn., Ann Michaud, husband, Peter of Lewiston, Bertrand and Paul Ouellette of Maine. Bringing Auntie much joy were her grand and great-grand nieces and nephews: Aimee, Mark, Alec, Kyle, David, Dave, Mekhi, Anisha, Eleisha, Shane, Jen, Jack, Will, Lauren, Luke, Sam, Sarah, Kyle, Caleb, (and soon Sophie), Rachel, Dan, Ava, Grace, Olivia, Emily, Bruce, Matt, Amanda, Joel, Nicholi, Austin, Jake and Courtney.

Aurella was proud of her Catholic faith. She had statues of the Blessed Mother and St. Anne and was known to give them a “time out” by facing them to the wall if her prayers were not answered the way she liked.

We all enjoyed her sense of humor, the penny jars she saved for us, her carrot bread and peanut butter fudge.

Aurella leaves behind her loving sisters, Carmen Jutras and Laurianne Ouellette.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Edouard and Emilia (Tremblay) Ouellette; her siblings, Edouard Jr. and Camille Ouellette, Marie Dennison and Rita Ouellette, all of Lewiston.
