SOUTH PARIS — Barbara Knightly, 89, of South Paris passed away Thursday, Nov. 3.
She was born in North Paris on July 18, 1927, the daughter of Gladys Buck Bonney and Owen Bonney Sr. She married Maurice Knightly on July 3, 1948.
She is survived by a son, William O. Bonney and his wife, Norma Jean, of Brownsville, Ky.; a daughter, Brenda Heaward of Oxford; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Stevens of South Paris; a sister-in-law, Alliene Bonney of Bryant Pond; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Knightly of Upton.
She was predeceased by her husband; sons, Ronald Knightly Sr., Merton Knightly and Brian Knightly; a grandson, Ronald Knightly Jr.; and several brothers.
In past years, she was an avid bowler and had several trophies. She loved playing miniature golf at Bear Pond Park in North Turner. She was a past member of the VFW post auxiliary. Her favorite pastimes were fishing and camping.
