BATH — The attorney for a man charged in the fatal shooting of his fiancée during a prospective gun sale says his client will plead guilty.
Dylan Grubbs of Thomaston faces a manslaughter charge in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Chelsea Jones last November.
The Portland Press Herald reports Grubb’s attorney, David Paris, said Thursday that 23-year-old Grubbs will plead guilty to a lesser charge on Monday. He didn’t specify what charge Grubbs is expected to plead to.
Investigators say Grubbs and Jones had driven to Bath to meet a prospective buyer when she was shot. They say the gun discharged while Grubbs was showing the gun to the buyer outside the SUV. Jones was shot in the head as she sat in the vehicle and later died.
