1941 – 2016

LEWISTON — Wendell Dean Rolfe Sr., 75, of Livermore died Friday, Nov. 18, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He was born in Gouldsboro, June 20, 1941, the son of Elwood and Anna Rolfe. He spent his days hunting with his brothers and making memories with his family. He was a clam digger in Gouldsboro and worked at DeCoster Egg Farms in Turner, from which he retired in 1990.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Schoppee Rolfe, of Livermore; sons, Wendell Rolfe and wife, Rhonda, of Livermore and Jimmy Rolfe of Livermore; daughter, Kathy Huffman and husband, Steve, of Turner; and son, Scott Rolfe and wife, Beth, of Leeds; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Elwood and Anna Rolfe; and brothers, Melvin and Wesley Rolfe.
