The Auburn Police Department reports roads have become slippery and several cars have slid off Washington Street. They urge drivers to be cautious.

Oxford County dispatch says they have received more than a dozen calls about cars sliding off the road.

And Cumberland County dispatch says they’ve also received multiple reports of slide-offs, particularly in the northern part of Cumberland County.

Speed limits on I-95 from Exit 53 in Falmouth to the end of the Maine Turnpike at Mile 109 have been reduced to 45 mph due to freezing rain.

Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 are being advised of a crash between Exit 86 in Sabattus and Exit 75 in Auburn. Drivers should expect moderate delays.

The freezing rain was expected to change to rain by the afternoon and end at night.

The National Weather Service says another round of low pressure will bring more rain, possibly changing to snow in northern areas Wednesday night into Thursday.
