WAYNE — Andrew Harris will give a dramatic reading of “A Child’s Christmas in Wales” by Dylan Thomas at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road.
Harris is the chair of the Theater Department at the University of Southern Maine and executive director of Deertrees Theatre. A graduate of the University of London and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in England, Harris has worked in both professional theatre and arts education.
Upon moving to Maine, he has continued his passion for both. He was the director of LA Arts in Lewiston and has acted in productions with Portland Stage Co., the Public Theatre and on film with The History Channel.
The program will be followed by a reception featuring light refreshments. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, and reservations are recommended.
