Athletic director Wade Morrill takes over a program that hopes the players’ success in other sports spills over onto the hardwood. He saw his own share of success as player and coach at Valley of Bingham, and will bring many of the same motion offense and pressure defense principles he learned there with him.

“With the changeover, it’s sometimes hard for the kids to adapt to the style of play and the terminonlogy, so in a lot of ways it will be like starting over,” Morrill said. “But we’re not starting over because there are some pretty talented kids here with a lot of varsity experience.

He has a number of exceptional athletes to work with, led by Richardson, Foulke and Hartford, key cogs on the state runner-up soccer team, and Amero, one of the top players on the Winthrop/Monmouth football team. Morrill will be counting on that senior leadership to help integrate the younger players. How those younger players adapt will determine what kind of playing time they get.
