PHILLIPS — A local man is accused of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16, Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said in a news release.
Erick J. Wilding, 53, of Phillips was arrested Tuesday at his home in Phillips. He was charged with gross sexual assault. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
Wilding was being held on $2,500 cash bail Wednesday at the Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington.
