TOGUS — The Outdoor Adventure Club at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn Senior College, led by co-chairs Patricia Vampatella and Cindy Boyd, joined 90 volunteers participating in the National Wreaths Across America Day at The Togus National Cemetery on Dec. 17.
Two trucks rolled into Togus National Cemetery with 2,000 wreaths.
LAC Senior College member Grace Trainor was chosen to represent several members of her family who served in the U.S. Merchant Marines to lay a commemorative wreath at the base of the flagpole where the Togus noontime ceremony was held.
It was the third year the Senior College members participated in Wreaths Across America.
