LIVERMORE — Washburn-Norlands Living History Center in Livermore will offer a dinner and a historical program, “The Washburn Women: A Conversation Between the Ladies,” on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 290 Norlands Road.

Guests will enjoy a heritage dinner and living history programming in a historical setting.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a tour of the elegant Washburn family mansion, built in 1867.

At 6 p.m., a three-course dinner will be served in the historic Farmer’s Cottage. 

After dinner, participants will step back into a 19th-century parlor in the Washburn mansion by visiting with “Patty Washburn,” portrayed by Norlands staff member Willi Irish; daughter “Caroline Washburn Holmes,” played by staff member Jeannette MacDonald; and daughter-in-law “Elizabeth Muzzy Washburn,” played by staff member Robin Moore. All three women will wear period costume.

The women will reminiscence about courtship, love and marriage in the 1800s, sharing tales about finding husbands and building their families. 

Tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased by Wednesday, Feb. 8. There is limited seating available; only 32 tickets will be sold.
