1951 – 2017
AUBURN — Patricia Anne Mason, 65, a resident of Lewiston and formerly of Sabattus, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
She was born on Nov. 23, 1951, in Gardiner, the daughter of Lawrence Michael and Phyllis (Stuber) Dineen. Patricia attended school in Gardiner and was a 1970 graduate of Gardiner High School. Patricia earned her bachelor’s degree at University of Maine in Farmington in 1998, and her master’s degree at St. Joseph’s College in 2009.
She was employed by RSU-4, Sabattus, Litchfield and Wales as a Special Ed teacher, and her true passion was helping students learn to read. Pat was a member of MTA, NTA and MAR. She enjoyed summer trips to Boothbay Harbor.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew L. Mason and his wife, Heather, of Milford, N.H., and Paul M. Mason and his wife, Michelle, of Dover-Foxcroft; a brother, Robert and Tina Dineen, of Smithfield; and her sister, Lorraine Loveland, of Connecticut.
