MEXICO — The Hope Association’s 42nd annual Ride-In will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at a new location at the New Hope residence at 91 Highland Terrace across the street from the Mountain Valley Middle School.
Held every year since 1974, this event brings area snowmobilers and friends together with program participants to raise money for a good cause and offer program participants a chance to enjoy the outdoors in a unique way.
Proceeds from this year’s Ride-In will be used to help build a new Briar Patch Greenhouse for program services.
Attendees will be able to see the new greenhouse being built, and cash prizes, gift certificates and other prizes will be raffled. Raffle tickets are $1 each or $5 for six tickets and can be purchased at the What Not Shop, at the Good Karma Café or at Davis’ Florist. Winners will be drawn at 1:30 p.m.
Attendees will also be able to enjoy Italian sausages, hot dogs and a free smorgasbord of delicious lunch treats.
Donations may be made directly to the Ride-In. All donations provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in non-Medicaid reimbursable activities and to purchase much-needed materials or equipment that are not paid for by state funds. Thanks to the generosity of local snowmobilers, the community, volunteers and participants, this event has raised more than $273,000 since it began.
The session is open to the public.
