NORWAY — Annette E. Farrington, 79, of Norway went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 30.

She was born in Rumford, on May 4, 1937, the daughter of Telesphore and Celestine Robichaud. She attended schools in Rumford and at one point decided to become a nun. Once she met the love of her life, Frank, things changed. They were married June 4, 1955. She then became Mrs. Frank L. Farrington and last June they celebrated their 61st anniversary. They raised four children together.

In her earlier years, she worked at several local factories, later devoting her life as a full-time mom. The family spent many years at their home on Hobbs Pond in Norway, sharing many special memories with family and friends. Upon retirement, she and Frank spent many years wintering in Florida.

She was of strong Christian faith and attended Grace Fellowship Church for many years. She enjoyed watching her religious programs and reading her Bible. Like her son, Tom, she enjoyed listening to music, especially Christmas music. She was also a devoted Red Sox fan.

She leaves behind her husband, Frank; her daughter, Marie (Randy) Stevens; sons, Rodney and Frank W.; daughter-in-law, Karen Farrington; grandchildren, Ryann (Eric) Philbrook; Chris (Elizabeth) Stevens; and Cassandra Farrington; as well as three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Andrew and Christopher; her two brothers, Robert (Corajean) Robichaud and Norman (Joanne) Robichaud.

She was predeceased by her son, Tom; sisters, Rita Holt and Claudette Floyd; and brother, Earnest Robichaud.

A special thank-you to First Light Home Care and Complete Home Health Care of New England for the care given to her. She enjoyed her caregivers very much and formed strong friendships with many. The family would also like to thank Tilda Kennison for the kindness shown to our mom — she thought of you as a daughter.

Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at www.chandlerfunerals.com.
