PARIS — Oxford Hills/Buckfield Adult Education has announced upcoming classes. 

Intro to Computers 101: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays for five weeks beginning Feb. 13. This course is designed for beginner computer users. Students will learn to use a mouse and keyboard, understand terms and operate common applications. Allen Smith will instruct the course. Tuition: $47. 

Substitute Teacher Training: 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15. This workshop is for those seeking to become substitute teachers. It will provide information about school expectations, teachers’ lesson plans and assertive discipline. Persons who complete this course successfully may be enrolled as substitute teachers for SAD 17. Patrick Hartnett will teach the course. Tuition: Free.

Breathe In, Breathe Out: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27. Students will learn breathing techniques to increase lung volume, to calm and relax, and to energize the body. Chris and Paula Easton will teach the course. Tuition: $20.

Intro to Energy Healing: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28. Students will learn the how, what and where of energy in this interactive class. Chris and Paula Easton will teach the course. Tuition: $20.

Is Stress Running Your Life?: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2. For those wondering why relationships seem hard, this class will look at relationships from a new perspective. Chris and Paula Easton will teach the course. Tuition: $20.

Career Planning: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 3. Participants will prepare for their next career or job with a plan that fits. Whether currently unemployed, underemployed or considering a whole new career change, this class will help build a clear direction. Chris Davis will teach. Tuition: Free.

Knitting 101: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Fridays for five weeks beginning March 3. Beginners will learn basic knit and pearl stitches to create a dish cloth, potholders, or scarf. Those attending should bring No. 9 knitting needles and a skein of acrylic four-ply yarn and a skein of four-ply cotton yarn. Donna Marshall will teach this course. Tuition: $27.

Cursive Writing for Kids: 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Fridays for five weeks beginning March 3. This class will help parents and caregivers teach kids the basics of writing the alphabet as well as words and sentences in cursive. The course is designed for parents and children ages 8 and older. Donna Marshall will teach. Tuition: Free.

Computer Keyboarding: 6 to 8 p.m. for five weeks beginning Monday, March 6.  This course is for those with no typing skills or who just need a review. Nancy Tyrrell will lead the course. Tuition: $39.

Hatha Yoga — Beginner to Intermediate: 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for six weeks beginning Tuesday, March 7. Within a playful, supportive environment, students will learn meditation, breath control and guided visualization with a mantra offered in each session. Those attending should bring a blanket, mat, yoga belts, yoga blocks and water. Darleen Bevans will lead the course. Tuition: $54.

Maine Driving Dynamics: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays for two sessions beginning March 7. This course covers collision-avoidance techniques and safety tips to help participants become a better driver. Those completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their license record. Ed Naples will instruct the course. Tuition: $40 or $10 for seniors.

Building Confidence: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8. Students will learn to work with the body’s subtle energy to bring a sense of calm and peace. Chris Davis will teach the course. Tuition: $20. 

Reiki Basics for Self Treatment: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays for three weeks beginning March 9. Self-confidence is important in almost every aspect of life, yet many struggle to find it. Students will learn to use tools to help you build your confidence and keep it strong. Chris and Paula Easton will lead the course. Tuition: Free.
