LEWISTON — Edouard Plourde, business manager of Dining, Conferences & Events at Bates College, will be the featured guest speaker of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Ramada Inn. He will describe the scope of food services at Bates College.
Plourde, a lifelong resident of Lewiston, has been actively involved in his community since earning his economics degree from Providence College. He has served three terms on the City Council and was elected council president. He has served on numerous governmental and nonprofit boards, and more recently, as past treasurer of the Androscoggin Land Trust.
He is chairman of the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport and a long-term employee of Bates College.
Plourde holds a CDL driver’s license, a private pilot license and is lieutenant commander of the Kennebec River chapter of U.S. Power Squadrons.
