Project graduation Chinese auction

PARIS — The annual Chinese auction to benefit Oxford Hills Project Graduation will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. 

Doors will open at 11 a.m., and the auction will start at 1 p.m.

Snowmobile club monthly meeting

MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall.

All are welcome to attend.

Nomination of officers will take place with elections at this meeting.

NORWAY/BETHEL — Representatives from SeniorsPlus will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns community members may have about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.

Mollyockett Trout Unlimited to meet

PARIS — The Mollyockett Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold its monthly membership meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St.

The program will feature a presentation by Department Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Regional Fisheries Biologist Bob Van Riper, who will discuss the status of the fishery, the management plan and problems and issues associated with the Rangeley region.

Also speaking will be Jeff Stern of the Androscoggin River Watershed Council discussing the dam removal project on the West Branch of Sunday River.

The presentation is free and open to both Trout Unlimited members and non-members. 

WOODS to tell ‘Knots and Nots’

FARMINGTON — The storytelling guild Western Order of Dedicated Storytellers will hold its monthly meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Farmington Public Library. 

Storytellers should note that this is a change in time.

The theme will be “Knots and Nots.” Stories incorporating these words are encouraged, but not required; all stories are welcome.

The storytelling guild is free and open to the public.
