TURNER — School Administrative District 52 Adult & Community Education has announced its upcoming schedule of classes, including one-night workshops, career-enhancing courses and certifications, weekend gatherings and opportunities to learn homesteading skills.

Classes start the week of Feb. 27. SAD 52 Adult & Community Education is at 486 Turner Center Road.

Piloxing: This is a nonstop, cardio fusion of standing pilates, boxing and dance that will push participants past their limits to become sleek and powerful. Those attending can be barefoot or wear yoga socks or sneakers.

Budgeting Basics: Participants will explore the basic components of building a budget. Topics include money tracking, goal-setting, challenges and understanding the participant’s overall financial situation, as well as managing money and creating personal goals that can be achieved. There is no charge for this workshop, but preregistration is required.

Zumba Fitness for YOU: This fitness class offers a mix of Latin and other rhythms with elements of cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. By adding toning into the mix, participants can build strength and tone target areas. All fitness levels are welcome; the moves are easily modified to meet individual needs.

Printing Monotypes: This beginner workshop is full of playfulness and experimentation. By painting and rolling ink, cutting paper stencils, using found objects, or drawing with ink, participants will learn the process and leave with completed prints.

Welding: For those looking for a career as a welder or for the skills to complete home projects, participants can master techniques in a class that will address individual needs. Beginning and advanced students can prepare for state certification. Students need to wear steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.

Beginning Beekeeping: This class will cover the basics needed to get started in beekeeping. Students will assemble hive equipment, use a smoker and veil, acquire bees and install them in a hive, inspect and manage a hive throughout the seasons and produce honey.
