OXFORD — Brenda I. Heaward, 72, of Oxford passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 8, at her home.

She was born in Buckfield on March 21, 1944, the daughter of Maurice and Barbara Bonney Knightly. She graduated from Buckfield High School.

She then worked as a bookkeeper for Margo’s in her late 20s. Then Knightly’s, the Big Rig Shop and L.M Longley and Sons. She married Paul Heaward on Dec. 14, 1985.

She was active in her community and enjoyed the outdoors. Her most recent joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Brandon, and his wife, Kristianna, and their children, Adeline and Brock of Oxford; stepson, Todd, and wife, Jamie, and their children, Gavin and Reagan of North Carolina; stepson, Scott, and his wife, Tiffany, and their children, Noah and Nathan of Tennessee; brother, Bill, and wife, Norma Jean, of Kentucky; brother-in-law, Tom, and wife, Linda, of Oxford; nephew, Tom, and wife, Shanda, of Oxford; along with many other close family and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother; first husband, Barry; second husband, Paul; brothers, Ronald Knightly, Brian Knightly and Merton Knightly.
