FARMINGTON — Cliff and Twitchaba are the Pets of the Week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

The Dog of the Week is Cliff, who is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire and bulldog mix. He is handsome and full of energy. He enjoys long walks, chasing balls, and playing, playing, playing. He is a bit bouncy, so he will do best in a home without small children, but he loves people. Cliff is a one-dog-home kind of guy, and he likes to chase cats, so home where he is the only animal will be best.

Twitchaba is the Cat of the Week, and she is 4 to 6 years old. She is a shy cat looking for a home where her fur-ever family will let her be. She is leery of people and prefers hiding out. But despite her shyness, Twitchaba is sweet.

Twitchaba, Cliff and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
