AUBURN — Auburn Adult and Community Education is taking registrations for winter/spring courses.

Mental Health First Aid: Starts Tuesday, March 7. The course will increase awareness of mental health issues and how to help those living with symptoms or in crisis. Topics include depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, psychosis and many others. 

Mindfulness for Adults: Starts Tuesday, March 7. This eight-week course will explore informal mindfulness practices, developing a formal meditation practice and learning to work with thinking patterns. 

Preparing Your Estate Plan: Starts Tuesday, March 14. This is a basic overview of estate planning, account registration, beneficiary, designation, will, trust, tax information, life insurance and TOD. 

Middle Eastern/Belly Dancing: Starts Wednesday, March 22. Dancers will learn basic moves, hear the history behind the dance and meet other women. 

Crochet Intermediate Projects: Starts Thursday, March 23. Participants will learn how to read a pattern and use different size hooks, and tackling problem stitches.

All Levels Vinyasa Yoga Flow: Starts Monday, March 27. The class will incorporate elements of Tai Chi, meditation, Hatha Yoga and Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa Yoga. Those attending should bring a water bottle and yoga mat, wear comfortable clothing and avoid eating an hour before class. 

Introduction to Videography: Starts Wednesday, March 29. Participants will learn basic applications and practices in videography, equipment selection maintenance, shooting techniques, camera functionality and settings and other topics. 

Well Water Pump and Filtration: Starts Thursday, March 30. The class will teach proper maintenance of a private well water system, including types of wells, water filtration systems, proper service requirements and the latest in well pump technology.
