AUBURN/FARMINGTON — Registration is open for Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice’s annual Hospice House 5K & Remembrance Walks Sunday, May 7, in Farmington and Sunday, May 21, in Auburn.

Race-day registration begins at both locations at 7:30 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. Registration is $25 in advance and $35 on race day. Children younger than 12 can participate at no charge, and a free kids’ fun run is also planned.

The Farmington 5K and Remembrance Walk will begin at the Franklin County Courthouse on Main Street, and Auburn’s events will begin at Central Maine Community College.

Collectively, these races are the largest fundraiser for AHCH’s Hospice House, with all proceeds benefiting patient care and support. This year’s goal is to raise $90,000.

Live music and other surprises will be featured, and awards will be given to the top performers in each division. Those who register before April 2 will receive a free T-shirt.

Since teams often create their own shirts in memory of a loved one, the best team T-shirt at each location will be chosen via online voting. Teams and individuals reaching specific fundraising levels will be recognized, including having their names engraved on a plaque, walkway pavers or a family bench at the Hospice House. The top individual and the top team fundraisers will also be recognized.
