LEWISTON — The 5th Annual Fuel The Arts Art & Tattoo Expo will be held at the Ramada Inn, Thursday, March 16, through Sunday, March 19. More than 50 working tattoo artists and vendors from all over New England will be there.
Tattoo contests, raffles, prizes, paint-and-sip, comedians, and much more will take place over the course of the four-day event.
Gaskyl Productions, which hosts the expo, will also host “Fuel the Arts” benefit auctions Friday and Saturday nights. The auctions include donated artwork from all over the country. Bidders place silent bids during the day and the final bids at a live auction at night.
Proceeds raised go toward the purchase of art supplies to be donated directly to local youth, or to after-school and day care programs.
Anyone wishing to donate art for the auction may drop it off at the Ramada Inn, 490 Pleasant St., Wednesday through Saturday.
Anyone who may know young area artists in need of art supplies, school and after-school programs, day cares, or any other program where art supplies can be spread to children, please contact [email protected] and Gaskyl Productions/InkMaine at 207-364-6412.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
