POLAND — Elizabeth Pearl Gagne, 73, of Poland passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 18, after a long illness.
She was born in Poland on June 22, 1943, the daughter of Clarence R. and Florence H. (Berry) Thurlow.
She attended local schools and as an adult earned her GED of which she was very proud. She was employed at local businesses for a number of years including Etonic, Bates Mill and as a home health aide. She enjoyed crocheting gifts for others, reading, digitally preserving old photos, staying in touch with faraway family by computer and watching Westerns with her husband, Dick.
She is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) Gagne of Poland; her little dog, Buddy; three daughters, Gloria Folden of Jacksonville, Fla., Doris Andrews and husband, Philip Jr., of Raymond, and Leona Heaward of Thonotosassa, Fla; eight grandchildren, Brianne, Heather, Jessica, Larissa and husband, Joshua, Philip III and wife, Amanda, Ashley, Kristen and Davey; 12 great-grandchildren, James, Delia, Alena, Mary, Eleanor, Katherine, Jacen, Jocelynne, Jeremiah, Leighann, Camryn and Emalee; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; infant son, Quentin; her first two husbands, John Swanson and Arthur Hanrahan; as well as her siblings, Lester, Edna, Betty, Myrtle, Clarence and Nancy.
