AUBURN — Gerald T. Lutz Jr., 55, passed away peacefully after a long battle with COPD at the Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice House in Auburn on Thursday, March 16.
He was born in Albany, N.Y., on July 2, 1961, the son of Gerald Lutz Sr. and Jessica (Julius).
Gerald lived in Vermont before coming to Maine. In his younger days, he liked to free-hand paint, and he enjoyed sports with his brother, Al. He loved his sports car, and took great pride in maintaining it himself. Gerald was able to conquer his alcoholism and maintain sobriety for several years.
Gerald is survived by his mother, Jessica Brown; his four children, Misty, Crystal, Gerald and Jake; his two sisters, Amanda and Tina; his two brothers, Al and Jon; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Gerald Sr.
