WILTON —  Police said a woman from Strong is accused of charging over $4,000 on someone’s credit card without their approval.

Erica Couture, 32, was arrested Friday on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, Police Chief Heidi Wilcox said.

The card belongs to a Wilton resident who made a payment to help Couture, Wilcox said. An investigation showed Couture was using the card information to pay bills, the chief said.

Couture paid $500 bail and was released from Franklin County Detention Center.
