WELD — A special election to fill a selectman seat will be held Wednesday, March 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Town Office.

The seat was vacated when Douglas Voter resigned earlier this month. There are two years remaining on the three-year term. 

Town Clerk Carol Cochran said Richard Doughty is the only person who has returned nomination papers. Doughty has served as moderator at annual town meetings.
