The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect that deputies said was driving a white pickup in a high-speed chase Monday night from Naples to Otisfield.
About 11:40 p.m. Monday, a deputy attempted to stop a 1999 White Dodge Ram pickup truck with a dark hood and loud exhaust for erratic operation. The pickup was headed north on Casco Road in Naples. The driver didn’t stop and continued to drive erratically, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office. The pursuit continued through Casco and into Otisfield at speeds ranging from 45 mph to 100 mph.
The pickup eluded pursuit by driving off road and into woods. Deputies later found the pickup but not the driver. They have not identified the driver yet.
Anyone with information about the driver is asked to contact Capt. Scott Stewart of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 207-774-1444 ext. 2260.
