DEAR SUN SPOTS: Has anybody noticed that you can’t send Susan Collins an email on her cellphone app? When you bring up the keyboard, you can’t see what you’re typing. — Philip, no town.

ANSWER: After several attempts on many different cellphones, it appears that the problem has been resolved. Sun Spots could not find an app specifically for contacting Senator Collins, but the mobile version of her website, collins.senate.gov, is back up and operating.

To contact Senator Collins, visit collins.senate.gov/contact. There are several different ways to get in touch beyond just emailing her directly. The contact information for her Augusta, Bangor, Biddeford, Caribou, Lewiston, Portland and Washington, D.C. offices are all included.

Similarly, U.S. Senator Angus King, I-Maine, can be reached through his website, king.senate.gov/contact.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Participation in the 4-H Shooting Sports has steadily grown in recent years and with this growth comes a greater demand for volunteer instructors. The 4-H model is a comprehensive youth development program that utilizes shooting sports as a way of connecting with young people, teaching life skills such as teamwork, respect, and discipline as well as safety and enjoyment. Currently there are certified 4-H Shooting Sports instructors in every county in the state and that list is growing.
