LEWISTON — Massachusetts comedian Brian Plumb highlights Maine Event Comedy at Baxter Brewing, Friday, May 19 at 7 p.m. The showcase will also feature Michele Mortensen, Jed Bloom, Jake Jacobson, Mike Gray and host Mark Turcotte.

 

Plumb’s confrontational style has made him a favorite throughout New England and beyond. He performed at the Dallas Comedy Festival and was a semi-finalist at the Last Comix Standing contest at Foxwoods Casino. He’s played The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, and Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo. He also produces and hosts The Brian Damage Showcase at Cabot Comedy Club in Chicopee, Mass.

 

An accomplished actress, writer, and musician, Mortensen hails from New Hampshire and recently competed in New York City’s “She-Devil Comedy Festival.” She also has appeared at Carolina Comedy Club in Myrtle Beach, Side Splitters in Tampa, and Coconuts in St. Petersburg.
