FARMINGTON — Franklin County Animal Shelter’s Pets of the Week are Baby Basil and Reese.
Baby Basil, Dog of the Week, is a 3-year-old dog of unconfirmed breeding, and is good with cats, but not small children. Baby Basil is food aggressive and still needs some training. He recently had an operation on his back legs, and would be better in a home without stairs or with an owner who can carry him.
Cat of the Week Reese is a 1- to 3-year-old female cat who loves people, but would do well in a home without other cats.
Reese, Basil and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
