DEAR SUN SPOTS: Now that the weather is getting better and people are working on their flower gardens, are any readers in the Lewiston-Auburn area thinning out their perennial flower beds? Please consider donating flowers to the tenants at Barker Mill Arms Apartment complex, 143 Mill St., in New Auburn, a housing complex for seniors and the disabled.

There are several tenant gardeners who make the grounds around the building look very pretty. They could use perennial flowers that can take full sun and in a few areas, a lot of shade. Tenant neighbors and visitors enjoy the flowers as they sit in the yard or walk around the building.

You can help us by donating perennial flowers — or annuals — they will be greatly appreciated. Donated plants will be shared with gardeners who need to replace plants lost this winter or want to add to their garden spot. Plants can be dropped off at the side of the front entrance or I can pick them up. Please call first, I can be reached at 207-689-4316. Thank you. — Belinda Gerry, Auburn.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Everyone who was a Leavitt Institute graduate in the class of 1963, please send your input about where and when to have our 55th reunion. Please call 207-946-5579 or write, P.O. Box 422, Greene, ME 04236. Anyone with addresses or email of our classmates, please contact them. I would like to update information because some have moved to different areas or out of state. Thank you. — Em, Greene.
