AUBURN — The Androscoggin Elder Abuse Task Force will host the annual Senior Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at the East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park Ave.

The fair is held in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. It will offer a chance to learn about local resources and services and provide an opportunity to socialize with fellow seniors.

The fair will feature a variety of speakers on topics such as financial planning, advanced directives and planning for care, as well as information tables from local organizations that work with seniors.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Peter Baker of the Maine Chapter, Alzheimer’s Association, presenting “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research.”

The Auburn Police Department will be at the event collecting unused and expired medications.

Admission to the fair is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

A free lunch and morning refreshments will be provided and prizes will be raffled off.
