LEWISTON — George Albert Bouchard, 83, of Lewiston, died Sunday, June 4, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion with his family by his side. Born in Caribou on June 29, 1933, a son of the late Alcide and Maria Levesque Bouchard, he attended Caribou schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1951.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War for four years and was married to the former Constance Maheux at St. Peter and Paul’s Church in 1955. She died December 12, 2015. Mr. Bouchard was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church. George owned and operated G.A. Bouchard Welding.

He is survived by a son, Marc Bouchard; a daughter, Celine Hall and husband, Charles; grandchildren, Daniel Hall, Jason Bouchard and Jessica Samry, Shawn, Ryan, Tyler and Nicole Bouchard; and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Camilla Wozniak and her husband, Ike, and Therese Bouchard.

He was predeceased by brothers, Normand, Claude, Robert and Alcide Jr.; and a sister, Jeanne.
